A PR & Marketing Executive plays an essential role in supporting the Line Manager to achieve key objectives aligned with the annual marketing and PR plan, current initiatives, and relevant activities. The marketing and PR team is integral in uniting various functions to meet commercial targets. The role involves managing specific projects related to marketing, media relations, and internal communications, along with performing daily administrative duties.
What will I be doing?
As a PR & Marketing Executive, you will be responsible for the outcomes of the hotel’s marketing activities aimed at increasing brand awareness, communicating promotions to target markets, and addressing business needs. Your tasks will include:
- Coordinating and assisting with the implementation of marketing and PR strategies, monitoring campaign performance, and reporting results as directed by the Line Manager.
- Supporting the development and execution of promotional activities, collateral, and maintaining the media library.
- Promoting hotel marketing activities to media outlets across food & beverage, rooms, and events.
- Supporting internal communication efforts, including press releases, newsletters, speeches, and management interviews.
- Assisting with marketing and PR events, sponsorships, campaigns, and property inspections.
- Managing media relations tasks such as social media tracking, press kit updates, news archive management, and media visit preparations.
- Organizing media familiarization trips and managing on-site photoshoots and filming.
- Supporting social media activities and ensuring brand consistency across all collateral.
- Identifying opportunities to enhance loyalty marketing programs.
- Executing marketing content, translation, and photography to optimize online presence.
- Responding to customer online postings and managing online reputation.
Managing Execution
- Supporting content management across hotel websites, OTAs, social media, and partnerships.
- Developing reports on marketing activities, highlighting results and future steps.
- Growing and maintaining hotel databases for targeted campaigns.
- Monitoring local news impacting the hotel and informing management promptly.
- Assisting with marketing and PR initiatives, including content review and competitive analysis.
- Ensuring proper archiving of media content and supporting crisis communications.
Developing Talent
- This role emphasizes self-development over team development.
Building Relationships
- Establishing effective communication with hotel departments, external media, agencies, and community organizations.
- Supporting collaborative efforts within the marketing and PR teams and across hotel departments.
What are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in marketing and/or press relations, preferably in hospitality.
- Excellent communication skills in English and possibly additional languages.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Relevant education or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, budget management, and project management.
- Understanding of marketing and PR strategies and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Effective interpersonal skills, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
