About the role :

Within our Global R&D site, the APD (Advanced Product Development) Dish Care Architecture team seeks a highly motivated engineer to lead technical development, creating innovative and efficient appliances and enhancing consumer experiences.

APD systematically evaluates and tests new technologies to develop new or next-generation products and manufacturing methods, reducing uncertainties related to technology, feasibility, timing, and costs, which are too significant for standard product development projects.

Projects vary in size and scope, from theoretical to practical, technical to market-oriented, all sharing a high degree of uncertainty. APD also monitors technology trends.

What will you do :

You will engage in diverse projects, from leading technical initiatives to supporting other project leaders within your expertise. Your focus will be on dishwashers, identifying areas for improvement, proposing and evaluating solutions, and convincing stakeholders to select the most suitable options based on customer needs.

You will assess new technologies and ideas, including high-risk technical concepts, demonstrating feasibility through theoretical and experimental analysis. You will lead projects, communicate benefits and outcomes effectively, and collaborate on defining testing and verification processes to enhance consumer experience.

Stay updated on innovations in your field, promote investigations to drive innovation based on consumer insights and technological trends, and interact with experts across scientific disciplines and external partners such as universities and research institutes.

Who you are:

University degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Energetic Engineering, or similar; PhD is a plus. You have 3-5 years of R&D experience, preferably in home appliances, with project management skills. You can apply theoretical knowledge practically to develop user-friendly solutions.

Proficient in 3D CAD design (experience with CATIA is a plus). You possess strong development and testing skills and are fluent in English and Italian, with good communication and presentation abilities.
