Role Overview:

Tether and affiliates are seeking a highly organized self-starter for our Regulatory and Licensing team. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements in the crypto-asset industry within the EMEA region, eager to apply their expertise in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities include understanding our products, blockchain technology, and crypto regulations, translating these into strategic recommendations, managing stakeholder relationships, and supporting licensing initiatives globally.

Reporting to the regional Lead, you will work with project managers and teams to ensure compliance and successful licensing efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Regulatory Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategies to identify optimal markets for operation.
• Regulatory Advocacy and Collaboration: Engage with authorities and industry bodies to shape favorable policies, advocate for innovation, and ensure safety and compliance.
• Policy Analysis and Guidance: Analyze regulatory proposals, advise on risks and opportunities, and monitor regulatory changes.
• Regulatory Approval Process: Assist in obtaining necessary licenses in target markets.
• Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate with legal, compliance, and finance teams to address regulatory challenges.

Minimum 5 years of regulatory experience in financial services or crypto-assets, with strong knowledge of EMEA frameworks, regulatory analysis skills, excellent communication, and a university degree. Proficiency in English is required.
