Job Purpose/Role
Within the Finance Department of Allianz S.p.A., the Investment Accounting team handles all Regulatory and Group reporting related to the investment portfolios of the insurance and financial companies within the Allianz S.p.A. Group.

The candidate will be involved in the closing processes for investment portfolios of Allianz S.p.A. Group entities, adhering to accounting principles such as Italian Gaaps, IFRS, and Solvency II. Additionally, they will prepare reports for the Italian regulator and Group headquarters. The role offers opportunities to participate in special projects and collaborate with colleagues across teams and international offices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end closing process and related reporting (both Group and regulatory), ensuring timely delivery and data accuracy.
  • Analyze investment portfolios and evaluate investments under relevant accounting frameworks, including tax ledger considerations.
  • Participate in special projects such as M&A activities (e.g., acquiring external portfolios), system upgrades (e.g., transition to new accounting systems, enhanced SPPI and ECL processes), and internal efficiency improvements (e.g., optimizing investment data and pricing processes).
  • Coordinate with other departments involved in closing and reporting, and support auditors, management, and corporate functions.
Key Requirements/Skills/Experience
  • University degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Insurance local, IFRS, and Solvency II accounting principles for investment portfolios; experience with investment-related tax duties is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Finance or Investment department within a financial company or as a consultant focusing on investments.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of SOFIA and SAP is advantageous.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams and foster a positive working environment.
  • Proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.
