A leading global provider of analytics and clinical research services is seeking a Contracting Specialist. The role involves developing contracting strategies, supporting start-up activities, and collaborating with sponsors. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in clinical site contracting and fluency in Italian and English.

Job Overview

Develop the global contracting strategy and support the delivery of all required start-up contracting activities for selected sponsors, studies, or multi-protocol programs as determined by the Sponsor’s requirements. Develop into a professional individual contributor working under moderate supervision. Problems faced are predominantly routine, though occasionally non-routine. Fluent in Italian and English. Italian Country expert with Global Lead experience.

Essential Functions
  1. Coordinate the development of investigator grants, estimates, contracting strategies, and proposal text to support proposal development.
  2. Develop contract language, payment language, and budget templates as required.
  3. Utilize and maintain contracting systems, tools, processes, and training materials for selected sponsors, studies, or multi-protocol programs according to the Scope of Work and Project Plan.
  4. Ensure collaboration and communication with sponsors, stakeholders, and RSU regions and countries to deliver the project scope in compliance with sponsor requirements and the RSU Management Plan.
  5. Provide legal, operational, and financial contracting support to Study Teams, facilitating efficient business development, trial initiation, and maintenance, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  6. Assist with creating and reviewing scientific, technical, and administrative documentation to support study initiation and maintenance.
  7. Contribute to the collection, analysis, and dissemination of contracting intelligence to support studies and the wider company.
  8. Ensure contracting efficiency, adherence to timelines, and financial goals related to site agreements.
  9. Report contracting performance metrics and out-of-scope activities.
  10. Work with Quality Management to ensure standards and mentor colleagues, including training delivery.
  11. Deliver presentations to clients as required.
  12. Maintain accurate records in internal systems (notably CTMS), databases, and project tools.
  13. Proactively develop long-term relationships with preferred IQVIA clients/customers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field required.
  • At least 5 years of relevant sponsor or CRO clinical site contracting experience, including global/regional negotiation experience. Equivalent education, training, and experience will be considered.
