Job Description:

NextChem is the Maire’s company dedicated to Sustainable Technology Solutions. Thanks to the extensive know-how of nitrogen, hydrogen, carbon capture, fuels, chemicals, and polymers, we offer innovative solutions and processes to fully enable the energy transition.

Assigned to the Administration, Finance and Control Department, the role involves generating analyses, documents, and deliverables, ensuring quality, responsiveness, and punctuality.

The Analyst reports to the AFC manager for statutory activities regarding timing, priorities, and quality of deliverables.

Key Activities & Responsibilities:

  • Support AFC managers in preparing statutory financial statements, including revenue/costs accruals calculation, fixed asset accounting under Local and IFRS GAAP, and reporting.
  • Assist in preparing the explanatory notes and management reports.
  • Support the statutory manager during quarterly auditor visits by collecting information and providing documentation.
  • Assist the statutory manager during annual audits, including interim and final audits, by collecting information and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Manager in preparing quarterly accounts, coordinating schedules, reconciliations, and reporting packages for review.
  • Support the statutory manager with specific tax and compliance declarations, adhering to regulatory requirements on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Handle statutory and compliance postings, maintaining fiscal books under Local and Tax GAAP, including journal entries, fixed assets registers, inventory books, VAT registers, and withholding tax certifications.

Personal Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
  • 3 to 6 years of experience in tax offices or audit firms is a plus.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented and effective communicator.
  • Adaptable, entrepreneurial, and methodical in work approach.
  • Ability to work under pressure, re-evaluating and adapting priorities as needed.
