In this role, the Associate Scientist will conduct scientific experiments with limited supervision, contributing to the conception, design, and interpretation of scientific data to support research projects. The individual will actively participate in scientific collaborations and contribute to the reporting of data through technical reports and scientific journals. Additionally, the Associate Scientist will ensure that proper documentation is maintained for processes and equipment.

In this role, you will…
Participate in the design of scientific research experiments under limited direction and work closely with scientific staff for the implementation, data collection, and interpretation of experiments related to analytical characterization of vaccines, at the level of individual antigens and final formulations.
Utilize your scientific knowledge and experience to influence technical decisions and function effectively as a team member on multiple projects.
Ensure timely data collection and reporting, including participation in internal/external scientific documents, and prepare and present scientific data in internal meetings.
Maintain the highest ethical standards, good scientific practices, and data integrity in your daily scientific activities, and may train and oversee platform staff on equipment operation and data analysis.
Communicate effectively with your manager, senior scientific staff, and members from other functions to ensure the progression of project-related work, and proactively communicate issues.
Understand and apply established Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) policies, actively participate in training, hazard identification, and other HS&E programs, and stop any operation if unsafe or out of compliance, reporting it immediately to management.

Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or Chemistry or BSc/engineer
Good level of spoken, conversational and written English

Clear and effective communication skills, oral and writing Growing ability to present scientific data
Understands & implements processes specific to Pre-Clinical R&D and to GSK with minimal bureaucracy and a focus on efficiency
