A PR & Marketing Executive plays an important role in supporting the Line Manager to achieve key objectives aligned with the annual marketing and PR plan, current initiatives, and relevant activities. The marketing and PR team is integral in bringing together all functional areas to meet commercial targets. The role involves managing individual projects related to marketing, media relations, internal communications, and performing daily administrative duties.

What will I be doing?

As a PR & Marketing Executive, you will be responsible for the outcomes of the marketing plan and activities used by the hotel to increase brand awareness, communicate promotions to target markets, and address hotel business needs. Your tasks will include:

  1. Coordinate and assist: with delivering marketing and PR strategies, monitoring campaign performance, and reporting as directed by the Line Manager.
  2. Support: development and implementation of promotional activities, collateral, in-house merchandising, and maintaining the media library.
  3. Promote: hotel marketing activities to the media, including food and beverage, rooms, and events promotions.
  4. Support internal communications: including updates, press releases, newsletters, speeches, and interviews.
  5. Support marketing and PR activities: including events, sponsorships, campaigns, exhibitions, and inspections.
  6. Media relations: tracking social media, updating press kits, archiving news, maintaining media databases, coordinating interviews, and administrative tasks for media visits.
  7. Organize media trips and entertainments: for media professionals and local media.
  8. Assist with photoshoots and filming: ensuring all administration approvals are completed.
  9. Monitor social media: support hotel social media activities and departmental initiatives.
  10. Brand management: ensuring collateral conforms to brand standards, tone, and voice.
  11. Loyalty marketing: support activities with HHonors and other schemes.
  12. Content management: execute and optimize online content and presence in line with regional strategy.
  13. Respond to customer posts: address complaints and issues appropriately.
Managing Execution
  1. Support content management across channels like websites, OTAs, social media, and partnerships.
  2. Develop reports on activities, results, and next steps.
  3. Maintain and grow hotel databases for campaigns.
  4. Stay informed on local news affecting the hotel and inform management.
  5. Assist in marketing and PR initiatives and review third-party website content.
  6. Conduct competitive analysis and ensure proper archives and content are maintained.
  7. Support crisis communication and achieve performance goals.
Developing Talent
  • Focus on self-development rather than team development.
Building Relationships
  • Establish effective communication with hotel disciplines and external partners.
  • Develop relationships with media, community, government, and suppliers.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in marketing and/or press relations in a similar environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and possibly other languages depending on the location.
