JOB SUMMARY

Working under general supervision, plans, maps, sequences, and performs assembly of complex electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic robotic equipment based on verbal and written instructions. Performs layout of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical schematics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Performs diagnostic troubleshooting activities on assembly automation equipment.
2. Conducts mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic repairs to assembly automation equipment.
3. Performs equipment failure analysis, repairs, and scheduled preventative maintenance on robotic and automated equipment.
4. Sets up manual and semi-automatic assembly lines and assists in pre-production runs.
5. Assists in installing new automated equipment and relocating existing equipment.
6. Creates and edits robot programs and updates manuals and software for automated equipment.
7. Maintains accurate reports of all activities on each piece of equipment.
8. Provides input to engineering staff on machine improvements.
9. Maintains production maintenance schedules and parts inventory.
10. Ensures all software backups are current and up-to-date.
11. Collaborates with Maintenance, Process, and Industrial Engineering Technicians to maintain daily production and assembly operations through preventative and corrective maintenance.
12. Supports safety and quality programs and initiatives.
13. Supports manufacturing execution systems.
14. Assists in manual and final assembly line training, balancing lines, and maintaining tools and equipment.
15. Works with various electronic equipment and custom automation systems.
16. Computer programming skills (any language) are preferred.
17. Advanced Excel skills, including macros, are preferred.
