Descrizione del lavoro

Iberdrola Italia, for its office based in Rome, is looking for:

A highly skilled Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) with previous experience leading the construction of solar farms. Experience in wind farm construction is also appreciated, including connection infrastructure.

1. PRE-CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT:

Management of project preparation from Investment Memo to start of construction, including:

  • CapEx estimation for construction to seek approval or bid auction.
  • Planning of the construction.
  • Constructability review of projects.
  • Regular updates of CapEx estimates and planning.
  • Construction readiness plan, including resource securing.
  • Facilitate project handover from Engineering to Construction, reviewing all technical and project documentation.
  • Review tender documentation for construction, aligning with project contracting strategy.
  • Contribute to defining the contracting strategy.
  • Provide technical support during tender processes, including review, assessments, clarifications, negotiations, and contractor selection.
2. CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT:

Management from start of construction to Commercial Operation Date, ensuring compliance with health, safety, environment, quality, CapEx, and schedule targets, including:

  • Preparation and updates of the Construction Management Plan.
  • Monitoring planning, CapEx, and contractor performance.
  • Management of contractor claims and compliance.
  • Technical assistance and interface management across contractors.
  • Changes, administrative work, reporting, and stakeholder management.
  • Documentation and compliance with company processes.
  • Health, Safety, Environment, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control.
3. PRE-OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT:

From Commercial Operation to handover to O&M, including:

  • Management of commissioning.
  • Final compliance checks and handover dossier preparation.
  • Closure of contractor management and signing of Take Over Certificates.
  • Lead project handover to O&M, ensuring compliance with processes.
4. TECHNICAL SUPPORT:
  • Support during due diligences, site visits, constructability reviews.
  • Support during development phases, reviewing studies and designs.
  • Support to O&M with punch list management.
5. STRATEGIC SUPPORT:
  • Contribute to construction vision, policies, processes, and standards.
  • Improve construction best practices and standards.
  • Assist with regulation and market initiatives.
  • Participate in contractor qualification and excellence initiatives.
  • Support corporate and LEAN departments for continuous improvement.
6. TEAM MANAGEMENT:

Lead and develop the team, set objectives, manage performance.

7. COMPANY POLICY AND LEGAL COMPLIANCE:

Ensure adherence to company policies, legislation, standards, and ethical practices across wind and solar projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: Master of Science in Engineering (Electrical, Energy, Civil, Mechanical).

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 5 years in construction of wind farms, solar PV, substations, high voltage lines.
  • Experience in renewable projects is a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of Italian environmental and safety legislation.
  • Knowledge of technical standards (CEI, ISO, UNI).
  • Stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of Grid Codes (Terna, e-distribuzione).
  • Experience in large utility and multicultural environments is a plus.

TECHNICAL SKILLS / SOFTWARE:

  • Construction and project management.
  • Solar PV and wind market knowledge is a plus.
  • Electrical and civil works expertise.
  • MS Project, MS Office, AutoCAD, GIS (plus).

SOFT SKILLS:

  • Organizational, reporting, resource management.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Adaptability, analytical thinking, decision-making under pressure.
  • Initiative, stakeholder interaction, ethics, confidentiality.
  • Budget management and deadline adherence.

LANGUAGES:

  • Italian (C2), English (B2+), Spanish (plus).
