The Role

Our Sales Grocery Team handles onboarding of key Grocery Retailers in Italy that are not yet partnered with Deliveroo. As our business scales, we become a major revenue channel for Grocery Partners. We provide support, act as partner consultants using data-driven insights and industry knowledge to foster growth. The team is passionate, dynamic, collaborative, and relationship-oriented.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Pitch and close grocery partnerships with key players in the territory through proactive channels (cold calls, visits, meetings).
  • Manage your pipeline to ensure high conversion rates and exceed volume and quality targets.
  • Lead end-to-end sales negotiations, making attractive offers to achieve business goals.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding from registration to operational launch and sales generation.
  • Support strategic initiatives like field pitch days, marketing rollouts, and cross-functional projects.

This is an individual contributor role and does NOT involve managing a team.

Skills & Requirements:
  • 4-7 years of B2B sales experience in groceries, retail, or FMCG (must).
  • Passion for data and a data-driven mindset (must).
  • Fluent Italian and English (must).
  • Strong knowledge of the GDO industry (must).
  • Self-driven with a proven sales record and a growth mindset.
  • Phone-based sales experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills across face-to-face, phone, and email.
  • Perseverance, grit, and resilience against rejection.
  • Competitive spirit and teamwork orientation.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn and test new ideas.
  • High emotional intelligence and persuasive skills.
  • Team player who collaborates effectively.
