Job Description
In Italy, to identify, establish, and support strategic C-suite / investment relationships with mature and growing software companies across the EMEA region. This individual will support deal origination through a KPI-first sales process. Working with the Manager, EMEA, and senior operating executives across Aquila, the Analyst must be a self-directed player who is excited about hunting, researching, and qualifying investment opportunities, supporting Aquila’s engagement with business owners, management executives, and intermediaries through cold calls, social, and digital channels. The Analyst will gain deep exposure to the enterprise & SMB software industry and master the business development and research side of M&A. Core responsibilities include:
- CRM & Administration
Maintain and manage the M&A database by adding new targets, taking call notes, and logging activities; proficiency in Salesforce CRM is required. - Research & Data Analysis
Drive product, market, and company research in partnership with Aquila’s corporate development team to screen and assess relevant software acquisition targets in private and public markets. Mastery in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is essential. - Company

Qualifications and Requirements
- Location: Italy
- Languages: Fluency in English and Italian; additional languages (German, French, Portuguese, etc.) are a plus.
- Experience: 1-3 years in software/technology high-volume sales, PE/VC business development, financial or professional services, or wealth/asset management, including proactive outbound calls and direct sales experience.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Engineering.
- Skills: Articulate in strategic, commercial discussions; persuasive writing and speaking; quantitative reasoning.
- Personal Attributes: Highly analytical, data-driven, autonomous, outcome-oriented, well-organized, proactive, and able to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Coachable, eager to learn, and capable of working independently and in teams.
