Project Manager (Grid)
Deadline: 14/05/2025
We are currently looking for a Grid Project Manager to join our M Renewables team in Milan, part of our Italian subsidiary.
Your role will encompass:
- Follow-up the connection process with grid operators
- Supervise the grid connection process providing technical advice and strategic direction to the Development Team
- Support the preparation of tender processes for the grid interconnection works, including establishing scope of work, reviewing responses, and selecting contractors
- Develop effective relationships with potential contractors, suppliers, and consultants
- Qualification of contractors, suppliers, and consultants
- Evaluation of offers and follow-up in the tendering process
- Support the preparation of contracts to ensure that works are executed in accordance with METKA-EGN's requirements
- Coordinate with internal departments (finance, legal, technical, procurement) involved in project assessment, due diligence, or implementation
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and techniques to optimize grid connection solutions
- Estimate costs and schedule activities of grid interconnection works
- Review Quality Control Plans and Inspection Points Program of EPC/subcontractors
- Perform site surveys and audits during construction
- Manage and supervise Engineering and Construction of Grid Connection Works and coordinate with Project Managers and Site Engineers
- Participate in relevant phases of Commissioning
What you bring to the role:
- BSc/MEng in Civil and/or Electrical Engineering (considered an advantage)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project management of grid works
- Fluency in Italian & English
- Knowledge in Electrical, Mechanical & Civil Engineering (considered an advantage)
- Experience in the construction of HV substations and grid works with E-distribuzione (considered an advantage)
- Knowledge of the Italian Grid Connection Process (and the TICA) (considered an advantage)
- Experience in constructing renewable plants (solar, wind, batteries) (considered an advantage)
- Proficiency in AUTOCAD
- Work experience in Italy
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
