Job Description

Pay: $22 per hour

At Great Wolf, the Maintenance Technician 1 oversees the day-to-day engineering operations in the lodge. This includes project management, general life safety, ordering, and working with vendors. Responsible for completing preventative maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel guestrooms, public spaces, equipment, buildings, and grounds.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen, and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for buildings.
• Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on all types of equipment, plumbing (e.g., plunging toilets and unclogging drains), electrical components including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, and replace electrical switches and outlets.
• Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
• Ensure all work is conducted safely and efficiently, adhering to safety standards and proper equipment use.
• Maintain knowledge of departmental safety procedures, attend safety training, and participate in ongoing development.
• Keep service records on mechanical and structural systems.
• Follow standard operating procedures for park operation, employee relations, timekeeping, and safety, including completing all documentation timely.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Engineering.

Qualifications:

• Technical Degree and Training
• Trade-related Certifications, including HVAC and/or Electrical
• Experience in hospitality, healthcare, or related industry
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds, with assistance for heavier items; ability to work at heights up to 50 feet using ladders, harnesses, and lifts.
• Computer skills including database software, internet, order processing, and Microsoft Office suite.
• Valid Driver’s License
