Webuild S.p.A. is strengthening its Corporate Development function, reporting to the VP of Corporate Development. We are seeking a Operations Controller Subsidiaries Director, based in Milan with frequent travel, who will oversee the technical and mainly managerial management of the Group's Italian subsidiaries.
The ideal candidate is an ambitious manager with strong assertiveness and leadership skills, capable of interfacing with various stakeholders, including C-Levels.
Experience in strategy-oriented consulting firms will be considered a plus.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate and support interactions between Concessionary Companies and Corporate to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and guidelines within the Group's matrix system.
- Support in the evaluation of the most suitable corporate structure during the bid preparation phase and in drafting shareholders' agreements, sharing all economic, financial, fiscal, and administrative information to facilitate the correct development of the project company's financial plan.
- Coordinate with Corporate Finance, Administration & M&A to evaluate the most appropriate financial structure to maximize project profitability.
- Coordinate the collection of actual data and the preparation of statutory financial statements according to Group timelines and procedures, respecting the legal and contractual autonomy of the Concessionary Companies.
- Monitor the accurate recording of management facts of the Concessionary Companies, establishing and applying policies during financial statement preparation, financial planning, complying with current civil and tax laws in each country, and collaborating with AFC Managers to certify the financial statements and Group Reporting Package with local auditors.
- Analyze collected data and collaborate with the Concession Department to define corrective or improvement actions for operational management, aiming to meet forecasts.
- Provide ongoing support in managing the Concessionary Companies, including participation in their committees and corporate bodies, in coordination with Corporate and HR.
- Monitor financial management of the Concessionary Companies and identify measures to ensure results in terms of net financial position (PFN) and financial and patrimonial indicators for the period.
- Assist Accounting and Tax functions in periodic verification of accounting entries to prepare accurate financial statements in accordance with IFRS and Local GAAP.
- Conduct management control and financial analysis of results.
- Knowledge of IAS/IFRS principles.
- Specific knowledge of infrastructure contract management.
- Understanding of project financing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong assertiveness and leadership qualities.
Additional qualifications
- Fluent knowledge of English; additional languages are a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in presentation tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI).
