About Galeries Bartoux

Galeries Bartoux, a Family Artistic Adventure, has been a prominent player in the international art market for nearly 30 years, with 18 galleries across France, Monaco, London, and Miami.

We are excited to announce the upcoming opening of a new space in Venice, located in the Dorsoduro district. This former 16th-century theater will be transformed into a unique venue combining an Art Gallery, Art coffee, and immersive experience.

We work with renowned masters, established, and emerging artists, creating a distinctive identity for our galleries. About the Role

We are seeking Art Sales Consultants (M/F) for our Venice gallery opening in September 2025. This role involves working in a large space that combines an Art Gallery and immersive exposition area. The initial contract is fixed-term for 6 to 8 months, with potential for permanent employment. Reporting to the Gallery Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming clients and providing high-quality information and service
  • Offering an exceptional sales experience and art advice
  • Following up on delivery, administrative tasks, and client feedback
  • Selling high-value art pieces and negotiating
  • Building strong customer relationships
  • Providing administrative support and assisting with gallery organization
  • Participating in event planning with the Marketing team
  • Maintaining the gallery's daily operations

We provide onboarding, mentoring, and training on contemporary art and sales techniques, along with personalized support for success. Opportunities for professional growth include internal mobility across our international galleries.

Qualifications and Skills

Applicants should have:

  • A degree from a business school or BTS in Sales or Art
  • At least 4 years of sales experience in luxury, retail, or art sectors
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Team spirit and a proactive attitude
  • Knowledge of the art market and luxury sector
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in both Italian and English; French or other languages are a plus
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
  • Basic computer skills

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time, fixed-term position offers a gross monthly salary of €2,500 to €5,000 depending on sales commissions. Additional benefits include sales commissions, weekend and holiday hours, and the opportunity to grow within our international network.
