The role
The Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of the project lifecycle (initiate, plan, execute, communicate, control, close). Must be familiar with system scope and project objectives to effectively assemble the project team, assign responsibilities, and develop a schedule to ensure timely completion.
The Project Manager monitors project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, identifies variances in time, cost, scope, or quality, and takes corrective actions. They communicate status and risks to stakeholders and ensure adherence to quality standards for deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Manage projects from conception to production, ensuring delivery aligns with budget, timeline, and quality standards to meet client expectations.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, align stakeholders, and oversee task execution.
- Make project decisions and provide recommendations to management regarding schedules, priorities, and resources.
- Coordinate with Resource Managers / Team Leads for resource allocation.
- Track project performance, identify variances, and communicate with stakeholders.
- Document risks, assumptions, and constraints; develop mitigation and resolution plans.
- Manage changes to scope, schedule, and costs, ensuring plans reflect authorized changes.
- Interface with all affected functional and business areas, including senior management.
- Report project status to executives and stakeholders through reports and briefings.
- Oversee the project budget, working with finance to report financial status.
- Apply project management best practices within established frameworks and standards.
- Collaborate with third-party providers to meet contractual commitments.
- Drive process improvements and capture lessons learned.

Formal Education & Certification
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification preferred or working towards it within 12 months.
