#RINA is currently recruiting: Mechanical Completion Coordinator

Location: Ravenna

Main responsibilities:
  • Supervise mechanical systems (Machinery, Vessels, Tanks, Mixers, Heat Exchangers, Fired heaters, etc., Saddles and Supports) and relevant piping systems (Piping, Valves/Actuators, Supports).
  • Manage mechanical connections (Flanged, Clamped, Threaded), selecting the best technical/economical solutions for materials and installation, including temporary and commissioning connections/blinding.
  • Oversee painting, corrosion protection, insulation, cathodic protection, and scaffolding activities.
KEY ACTIVITIES
  • Supervise installation of mechanical systems (Machinery, Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Piping, Valves, etc.) and piping systems, ensuring compliance with international standards, company specifications, and best practices. Manage all documentation, installation, and as-built processes.
  • Ensure mechanical completion, focusing on the effectiveness, efficiency, and safety of installation activities. Maintain traceability of connections, oversee welding quality (including X-rays), and ensure the integrity of systems/materials, including selection of optimal technical/economical solutions. Support in selecting and applying design documents and assist with pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, particularly in the selection and sizing of sub-systems for commissioning and final mechanical completion.
  • Oversee painting cycles, corrosion protection, insulation installation/removal, cathodic protection, and scaffolding design, installation, and removal.
  • Support inspections according to Inspection Data Sheets instructions as needed.
MINIMUM AND MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of work experience post-university degree.
  • Ability to manage workforce and interact effectively with construction contractor representatives.
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills, including the ability to write specifications and reports.
