Salary: $140,000 - $150,000 + Annual Bonus Potential + Benefits

Controller (CPA + GAAP Exp. Req.) Description

Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Controller to join their team just southwest of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a hands-on leadership opportunity supporting both high-level corporate accounting/finance and diving into the details of the day-to-day business. This role involves mentoring up to four direct reports (Accounting Manager & Staff Accountants) and four indirect clerical staff. The ideal candidate will have progressive accounting experience in a multi-division company, strong GAAP knowledge, and financial reporting expertise. Controller (CPA + GAAP Exp. Req.) Responsibilities

• Support high-level complex corporate accounting/finance and day-to-day business
• Oversee Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost & Inventory Accounting, & Revenue Recognition
• Master the monthly and quarterly reporting process, and oversee the team’s future execution
• Direct budget preparation and financial forecasts, report variances
• Provide strategic financial insights for decision-making
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
• Coordinate regulatory reporting and ensure SOX compliance
• Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting per GAAP
• Analyze financial data and present accurate financial reports
• Manage tax reporting and compliance within applicable tax laws
• Evaluate the performance of accounting and financial staff

Controller (CPA + GAAP Exp. Req.) Qualifications

• CPA is required
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller, is required
• Contract accounting experience is preferred
• GAAP experience & strong knowledge of financial reporting is required
• Advanced Excel skills working with large databases & reporting is required
• ERP experience is required
• Ability to work 100% on-site is required
