Role Overview

You will manage a team of Sales Field Force in the Pharmaceutical channel for the Swisse Brand in Italy. The staff under your supervision will include hired employees and external sales representatives. You will manage a designated region in North Italy to achieve revenue, profit targets, and client satisfaction. Ensure team members gain the necessary skills to perform their responsibilities. Achieve company sales and financial targets in line with current strategy. The role reports directly to the Commercial Director in Italy.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Ensure key financial performance milestones (e.g., revenue and profitability) are achieved and provide regular feedback on the financial performance of the project.
  • Maximize profitability by ensuring brand objectives and customer requirements are met.
  • Manage staff according to organizational policies and regulations. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; guiding professional development; rewarding and guiding team members; addressing relations issues and resolving problems.
  • Participate in the selection process for new staff, including reviewing candidates and conducting interviews. Conduct onboarding training with Human Resources. Cover vacancies in your area if necessary.
  • Ensure staff have proper materials, systems access, and training. Oversee the execution of training plans and mentoring experiences.
  • Act as a coach and mentor for Pharmaceutical Sales Representatives.
Skills and Experience
  • 3–4 years of experience in line management roles in the pharmaceutical channel.
  • Experience in mapping and targeting pharmacies in large territories.
  • Experience in healthcare/pharma, para-pharmaceuticals, supplements, dermo-cosmetics industries.
  • Proven skills in managing people (employees and external sales reps).
  • Track record in field sales, with ability to build and develop relationships.
  • Scientific background.
  • Coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Strong motivation and positive attitude.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Experience dealing with pharmacies and distributors.
  • Good knowledge of English is a plus.
  • Strong negotiating skills and an ownership mentality.
Education
  • Scientific Degree (Law 219/06) OR Economics Degree.
Conditions
  • Full-time role with high travel expectations (regional in the area).
