Join Kota as a Senior Software Engineer - Backend (.NET)

Are you passionate about building robust backend systems that improve customer and operational experiences? This is a chance to have a direct impact at a pioneering startup. As a Senior Engineer, you'll support and scale our products, focusing on benefit and financial operations within our core B2B team. You will collaborate across technical and non-technical teams to develop impactful solutions.

What You'll Do

1. Drive innovation: Build and enhance products to scale Kota’s benefit and financial operations.
2. Collaborate for impact: Work with teams across Kota to refine procedures, ensuring excellent customer experiences and operational efficiency.
3. Own incident management: Respond to technical issues, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
4. Architect for the future: Research, design, and implement enhancements to strengthen our products and processes.

A typical week might include architecting and building new features for our web and mobile applications, transforming internal workflows into self-service features, and leading efforts to resolve customer-reported issues.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: 6+ years building backend systems, expertise in .NET (latest versions 6-9), SQL databases, ORM frameworks, automated testing, and cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
• Industry knowledge: Fintech, payroll, or benefits experience is a plus.
• Problem-solving mindset: Thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy tackling complex challenges.
• Education: Degree in Computer Science, bootcamp graduation, or self-taught with proven experience.
• Availability: Minimum 4 hours overlap with GMT working hours.
