NEXTCHEM, a company of the MAIRE group dedicated to Sustainable Technology Solutions, is seeking a dynamic and innovative E&I/Automation Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning and reliability of electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems through routine maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and optimization activities.

The candidate will become part of NEXTCHEM’s Excellence Center in Montorio al Vomano (TE), having the opportunity to work on the first-of-its-kind industrial plant for the depolymerization of plastics, operating on a novel technology to fully enable the energy transition.

The E&I/Automation Technician is responsible for:

  • Performs straightforward maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical, instrumentation, and automation equipment, following the guidelines of the Responsible.
  • Calibrates instruments to ensure accurate measurements and readings.
  • Identifies and resolves failure modes in electrical and automation systems.
  • Maintains the Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance action list and spare parts inventory.
  • Drafts instrumentation setting procedures and shares them with the Plant Manager and Team.
  • PLC base knowledge and Control system troubleshooting.
  • Standard PLC Protocols Knowledge: Modbus TCP/IP, Profinet, etc.
  • Experience with HMI Control Panel.
  • P&ID and Electrical drawings Knowledge.

Personal Attributes:

  • Nice to have bachelor’s degree in technical subjects,
  • It is a plus to have 3/6 years of experience in E&I/Automation,
  • Good English speaker and writer,
  • Strong attention to details,
  • Adaptability, entrepreneurship and working with method,
  • Ability to work under pressure in an environment where priorities must be continually re-evaluated and adapted as possible.
