Our client’s Microsoft Business Solutions team is a Microsoft Gold Partner, leading in Microsoft software implementations for medium to large organisations. They help clients stay competitive by implementing Microsoft’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Engagement (CE) software from the Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) line.

Role Overview

The Dynamics CRM Senior Consultant is a key team member responsible for delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions. The role involves business process analysis, solution design, and hands-on configuration and customization of Dynamics CRM, collaborating with both onshore and offshore teams. Business travel may be required.

Requirements

  • A university degree in computing or business discipline
  • Microsoft D365 CE Certifications (2016, D365) are desirable
  • Strong functional knowledge of Microsoft D365 CE across various industries
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in D365 CE configuration, workflows, dashboards, forms, views, and report development
  • Knowledge of all D365 CE modules: Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Field Services
  • Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
  • Understanding of Dataverse, including customization and business data models
  • Familiarity with Dynamics CRM accelerators, industry templates, and add-ons
  • Track record of successful implementations across various industries
  • Ability to understand client needs and craft suitable solutions
  • Consultancy experience in software delivery
  • Experience with waterfall, agile, and DevOps methodologies
  • Business requirement analysis skills
  • Ability to see the bigger picture and suggest innovative solutions
  • Pre-sales experience is a plus
  • Experience in project documentation, especially for offshore teams
  • Knowledge of business process mapping and modeling

Responsibilities

  • Lead the analysis, design, development, testing, and support of D365 CE applications, working closely with clients and stakeholders
  • Create demos and proof-of-concept solutions for client presentations
  • Develop industry templates and solutions within Dynamics 365
  • Exceed customer expectations through business knowledge and professional skills
  • Support practice development activities such as pre-sales, recruitment, mentoring, and knowledge sharing
  • Ensure timely completion of internal processes and training
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
  • Represent the Microsoft Business Solutions team professionally
  • Follow the client’s Information Security Policies at all times
  • Perform project tasks related to team leadership, client engagement, and governance

Individual Responsibilities

  • Organize and document workshops, meetings, and requirements sessions
  • Verify customer requirements and provide accurate estimations
  • Participate in design and architecture of solutions
  • Establish quality standards and guidelines for the project
  • Work with technical leads to ensure quality
  • Complete tasks on schedule with quality standards
  • Support decision-making and risk management
  • Assist in testing phases and issue resolution

Team Responsibilities

  • Define "Done" for work items
  • Assign and review tasks within the team

  • Conduct daily stand-ups and retrospectives
  • Ensure understanding of project goals and foster feature reusability

  • Participate in client workshops
  • Guide clients and analysts
  • Challenge and advise on requirements
  • Provide weekly progress reports
  • Highlight and address risks

Governance Responsibilities

  • Support setup of Dev Management processes
  • Assist in establishing DevOps tools and pipelines
  • Verify build and release management processes
  • Represent in management reviews
  • Maintain team schedules and work distribution
  • Document lessons learned and share knowledge
