Position Summary
In this role you will manage the Supply Network of the assigned area of the business by replenishing each dispatch point to meet customer service objectives whilst maintaining optimal stock cover that takes into account the distribution costs.
A day in the life of Supply Distribution Planner
- Establishing the supply plan and net dispatch requirements to ensure Customer Service and satisfy customer needs taking into account the network complexity and the supply constraints
- Planning and optimizing mixed loads considering transportation constraints
- Analyzing and evaluating the supply plan to satisfy customer needs considering the network complexity
- Balancing the need for product availability versus the need to minimize costs of inventory to ensure optimum stocks of the right material in the right location
- Determining key issues with volume variance that may impact supply, and highlight to affiliate Planners by challenging existing Logistics and Supply Planning processes and tools
- Establishing stock policies for Finished Goods
- Challenging Production Planners to manage lot sizes, cycle times to drive optimum inventory and required Freshness level. Also challenge Demand Planner to improve Demand Planning Accuracy
- Analyzing and effectively communicating relevant information with the direct producing factory and affiliates supply team highlighting all supply issues
What will make you successful
- 1 year experience as Supply / Distribution Planner is required
- Analytical mindset and attention to details
- Supply Chain Planning interest, with a resilient, determined, and proactive approach
- Good Excel knowledge - SAP and Power BI knowledge is a plus
- Strong communication skills and high service orientation level
- Fluent in both Italian and English
