• About this opportunity

We now have a vacancy for a

• Distribution Planner
• reporting to the Supply chain Manager, based in Parma (Italy). The Distribution Planner is responsible for following the transports with carriers and cargo subcontractors to ensure that deliveries are made on time, that warehouses are in line with the Company's needs and standards. They organize and follow export flows as well as follow-up of customers plans to achieve transport agreements, serving as a link when necessary.

• Your missions in Crown

Within the Principal’s policies and instructions, the jobholder actively communicates with Customer Service Department and the production planner to ensure the availability of finished products, complying with customer call off, by drawing up the shipment plan. They constantly design, improve and update the shipment plan process by adopting the best tools. They constantly monitor the accuracy of planning, taking into account the required KPIs and detecting any deviations.

Main responsibilities :

• Shipment planning and generation of the daily shipment planning
• Production vs Call off planning, Call offs analysis, Interco sales analysis
• Optimize warehouse workload and logistics flow
• Monitor shipment cost; shipments status checks
• Prepare report of shipments e.g. to sister plants
• Prepare shipments KPI indicators analysis
• Import and Export management
• Prepare documents required from customs
• Avoid any extra cost due to the demurrage costs
• Draft and share reports, forecasts and data analysis
• About you

You have a University degree or an Industrial Engineering Degree, with a specialisation in Supply-Chain or in Business Administration with minimum 2 years’ experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. You are IT literate - SAP knowledge a plus, with excellent command of Excel. You have strong analytical, planning, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate at any levels. A self-starter, you like to work within a team, you possess good inter-personal and influencing skills with a safety and continuous improvement mind-set. You are able to work in a high-pressure environment to tight timescales, with changing priorities. Besides Italian, you are fluent in English.
