We are looking for a

  • Director Sales Europe - Sustainability and Decarbonization (M / F / d),
  • who can be
  • based anywhere in Europe close to an Emerson office and an international airport,
  • to set and drive sustainability targets in orders and sales in close cooperation with the country sales organisations and different business units.

Reporting to the President Europe Automation Solutions, you will own the development and execution of strategies resulting in profitable growth through increased penetration and gaining new accounts in decarbonization, hydrogen, and renewables industries.

  • IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
  • Set and drive sustainability targets in orders & sales in close cooperation with the country sales organisations and different business units, implementing a clear structure on measuring performance and contribution to regional growth targets, and establishing reporting structures that includes regular reviews with active engagement of different parties.
  • Lead the process of developing a clear and appealing vision of what the customer-supplier alliance can be. Frame differentiated solutions that have confirmed and relevant value for the targeted sustainability accounts and for Emerson.
  • Ensure the required partnerships (OEMs & licensors), pilots and flagship projects needed to extend Emerson's position as a key player in the sustainability and decarbonization markets.
  • Create and drive the strategy to strengthen relationships, increase loyalty and market participation, and identify new business opportunities within the sustainability market.
  • Actively drive the inclusion and engagement of business units, Emerson programs, and new acquisitions into Sustainability.
  • Champion and coordinate Thought Leadership, success stories, proper sales tools and training, and packaged solutions.
  • Participate in customer awareness and development activities at trade shows, fairs, and conferences aiming to promote the sale of new products, solutions, and services to specific Sustainability market accounts.
  • Coordinate the Sustainability and Decarbonization communication strategy across the region, both internally and externally. Define and implement standard communication methods and tools across the organisation.
  • Build customer recognition and momentum for successes and positive business impact derived from Emerson solutions.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU WILL NEED

  • Strong experience in sales leadership
  • Knowledge of the industry & applicable regulations (e.g., hydro, wind, waste energy)
  • A proven record in managing and directing remote teams effectively
  • Strong presentation skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills that can effectively work with all levels of a global workforce
  • Proficient in English language, other languages would be an advantage
  • Travel up to 50-60%
