Overview

Do you have experience leading global planning processes and want to work at the intersection of strategy, operations, and customer value? We are looking for a Director, Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) to lead the global S&OP process for our Tissue Business Area. This strategic role is essential for aligning demand and supply, optimizing production plans, and driving financial performance across our operations. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across business functions to ensure seamless execution and cross-functional alignment. This position is part of the Global Supply function and reports to the EMEA ROL BU Vice President. It is partially remote, with a preferred location in Karlstad (Sweden) or Lucca (Italy).

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the global S&OP team serving the Tissue Business Area.
  • Balance unconstrained customer demand with available capacity.
  • Create feasible and optimized supply and production plans to maximize financial results and optimize inventory.
  • Ensure strong collaboration between sales, application, project management, and supply chain teams.
  • Chair and participate in daily, weekly, and monthly S&OP processes in line with global guidelines.
  • Drive continuous improvement and transformational initiatives in S&OP processes.
Qualifications
  • BSc or MSc in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience leading global teams and resources.
  • Proven track record in leading transformational initiatives and continuous improvement in S&OP or similar processes.
  • Deep knowledge of S&OP processes and Tissue business operations.
  • Strategic thinking and scenario planning capabilities.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Experience with CRM platforms, ERP systems, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and data visualization tools.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Italian or Swedish is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel and flexibility (approximately some tens of days per year, depending on business needs).
  • Collaborative and customer-oriented mindset.
  • Agile decision-making and solution-driven approach.
  • High level of engagement, responsibility, and goal orientation.
