RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement strategies to exceed financial results and drive market share, customer satisfaction, employee loyalty, owner loyalty, and brand strength for the hotel.
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to effectively manage all the different sales channels; utilize on-property sales resources and leverage all above-property sales engines to deliver results. Ensure the development of strategic account plans for demand generators in the market.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor the reservations team and external agencies to ensure high performance and accountability.
  • Identify new market opportunities and customer segments to drive business expansion.
  • Oversee PR and digital agency activities.
  • Assist in the development of the annual budget.
  • Act as the customer expert and advocate at the hotel. Ensure sales and marketing information provided to operational departments is timely, accurate, and supports exceeding guest expectations, creating customer loyalty and growing market share.
  • Evaluate market conditions strategically and make data-driven decisions. Introduce appropriate changes in sales and marketing strategies to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Maximize revenue through proactive, business-focused, data-driven, ROI-minded strategies to maintain a competitive market position.
  • Maintain knowledge of business, competition, clients, and customer trends. Represent customer needs to hotel management and identify new revenue opportunities, influencing strategic planning.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Align sales strategies with overall hotel plans by collaborating with department heads.
  • Strengthen relationships with key accounts to drive business and increase market share.
  • Create and execute account plans for assigned markets to achieve revenue and budget targets.
  • Conduct sales calls, prospecting, site inspections, and entertainment activities.
  • Hire, develop, and retain high-caliber talent, fostering a positive work environment that aligns with the brand’s culture and ensures fair treatment and employee satisfaction.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Minimum of three to five years in a Sales Director role.
  • Proven sales success with strong knowledge of the luxury consortia business.
  • Creative and innovative sales approach.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and decision-making abilities.
  • Fluent in Italian and English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Proficient in computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Delphi, Internet, and Opera.
  • Legal work authorization in Europe is required.
