A leading luxury hotel on the Amalfi Coast is seeking a Sales & Marketing Director responsible for managing leisure sales dynamics and marketing strategies in international markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, proven track record, and excellent communication skills in Italian and English, with flexibility for additional languages. This role involves developing and executing marketing strategies, ensuring customer satisfaction, and managing relationships within the brand's network.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Sales & Marketing Director we are looking for will be able to manage leisure sales dynamics and marketing activities in the international markets for a 5-star Hotel on the Amalfi Coast, member of worldwide renowned luxury hotel brand.

  • Main Responsibilities

To complete all assigned tasks, achieve your assigned sales targets, delivering market leading performance, ensure the Hotel is the first choice for your designated accounts, maximise revenue and commercial opportunities with customers and partners and deliver effective communication within the hotel as well as across the property's representation companies worldwide. Proactively position and market the property to remain a market leader and strengthen our brand image. Develop and execute a marketing and social media strategies to drive revenue and meet property objectives. Act as the customer expert and customer advocate at the hotel. Ensure sales and marketing information provided to the operations departments is timely, accurate and enables property to meet or exceed guest expectations, create customer loyalty and grow market share. Identify changing market conditions and introduces appropriate changes in sales and marketing strategy to meet or exceed customer expectations, Know the business, the competition, the clients and customer trends. Represent the customer needs to the rest of the hotel, and constantly identify and communicate potential new revenue opportunities to the hotel executive team influencing the development of plans to tap those opportunities. Create and execute account plans for assigned European, US, APAC territories in the Leisure Segment to ensure maximum revenue and budgeted targets are achieved. Conduct sales calls, prospecting calls, site inspections, and entertainment.Effectively manage communication with the hotel affiliation brand maintaining regular dialogue and providing Sales & Marketing updates. Lead on-property sales functions and leverages above property sales resources to deliver results. Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure work is of the highest level. Be responsible for all aspects of systems, administration, database and facilities of on-site sales activities including procedures and processes specific to the daily operation of the sales & reservation team. Responsible for overseeing the Reservations Department.

Minimum 3 year experience in the same position. Proven sales track record is a plus. Strong decision making, selling, negotiation and interpersonal skills. Ability to organise, delegate and work under pressure are requirements for this post. Deep knowledge of hospitality European and US market both leisure and trade.Coach and development skills are also expected. Must maintain a professional appearance and conduct personal behaviour in a mature professional business manner where representing the hotel. Advanced computer skills and knowledge including but not limited to Fidelio Opera, Ideas G3 Revenue Management system, social media channels. Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the Italian and English language. High flexibility is required.

Other languages such as French and / or Germany are a plus. Legal right to work in Italy.
