About the role:

This role will not be onboarded until June 30th, 2025

The Director of Recreation will plan, organize, and oversee the activities of employees in the Hotel’s Pool and Kids for All Seasons (KFAS) program, while coordinating services with the third-party Beach Service Company, ensuring guest satisfaction.

What you will do:

1. Be a part of the pre-opening team!
2. Train, evaluate, lead, motivate, and coach Pool & KFAS staff; manage daily activities and planning for Pool & KFAS; coordinate with third-party Beach Service Companies; ensure that established Four Seasons’ cultural and core standards are met.
3. Engage with guests daily; build rapport, recognize by name, acknowledge special occasions, and manage special requests, concerns, and complaints.
4. Manage Cabana Program for the hotel to ensure a five-star guest experience.
5. Manage and coordinate Kids for All Seasons program. Drive creativity and innovation in Pool guest experience and product development.
6. Assist with the service and preparation of food and beverages and ensure quality of orders and amenities. Follow and maintain all laws related to alcohol service and consumption.
7. Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control.
8. Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment daily; make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.
9. Assist with cleaning operational areas and coordinate Cabana cleaning with Housekeeping.

What you bring:

1. Pre-opening experience, project, and stakeholder management.
2. One to two years’ experience in a supervisory or assistant manager role in a luxury environment; F&B experience is beneficial.
3. Knowledge of food & beverage service, cost control, labor control, maintenance, merchandising, and accounting.
4. Ability to operate computer equipment and food & beverage computer systems.
5. Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
6. College degree preferably in hotel/restaurant management or equivalent experience.
7. Knowledge of division operations, Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and procedures.
8. Ability to read, write, and speak English.
9. Flexible schedule and ability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays, day and evening shifts.
