Collegio alla Querce, Auberge Resorts Collection, a former cultural institution and much-beloved boarding school, is undergoing an extensive transformation to awaken the property’s storied and romantic history, dating back to the 16th century. Auberge’s third European destination, Collegio, is a delight for design lovers and gourmands alike. Three adjacent original buildings feature 83 rooms, an original chapel and theater, a library, two restaurants, and a bar which was once the school’s principal’s office. Surrounded by old growth cypress and soaring oak trees, the resort’s grounds boast expansive lawns, five levels of terraced Baroque gardens, a pool, and garden bar and restaurant. The Director of Operations of Collegio alla Querce will oversee the operations of the property to establish it as a one-of-a-kind iconic resort attracting an affluent clientele interested in culinary, wellness, and adventure experiences, situated between Florence and the Tuscan countryside. They will develop a local culture that attracts top-tier talent and fosters community engagement. They will lead recruitment efforts to make Collegio the employer of choice in Florence, building a loyal base of advocates and creating one of Italy’s most coveted and special destinations.
The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze business issues related to revenue, costs, profit, and guest expectations; focus on performance and results.
Proficient in budgeting, P&L management, and improving margins through team coaching.
Proven leadership in managing multi-channel teams, establishing KPIs, and driving measurable results.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple stakeholders and priorities effectively.
Guest-centric approach with a market-focused mindset.
