Role Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and hands‑on Operations Director Italy / Country Director Italy to lead our Italian branch. In this dual role, you will be responsible for managing all company processes, leading the team, ensuring operational excellence, and driving Lunu Pay's development and growth in the Italian market.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all branch operations, ensuring 24/7 reliability of payment infrastructure.


• Manage and develop operational, accounting, and financial teams.


• Oversee licensing processes and ensure compliance with PSD2, AML / KYC, MiCA, and other regulations.


• Manage operational risk, including fraud prevention and cybersecurity.


• Negotiate and manage strategic agreements with banks, payment systems, and technology partners.


• Oversee accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting in coordination with HQ.


• Optimize transaction speed, cost, and success rates.


• Execute growth strategy in Italy and report directly to global leadership.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in fintech, payments, banking, or financial services.


• The primary criterion is a proven track record in operational management and leading team collaborations.


• Hands‑on experience managing a regulated financial institution or branch is preferred.


• Strong knowledge of payment processing, crypto payments, and multi‑currency operations.


• Proven experience working with regulators and leading teams.


• Fluency in Italian and English.
