Job Description
The Director of Marketing and Communication will be responsible for spearheading strategic direction, initiatives, planning, coordination, and management of the hotel's integrated marketing, public relations, and communications. The person in charge will create and communicate the hotel's messages and ensure overall continuity of hotel brand consistency.
Responsibilities include developing a comprehensive marketing, communications, and public relations program to enhance the hotel's image and position within the marketplace and the public, facilitating internal and external communications, and managing all hotel marketing, communications, and public relations activities and materials, including publications, media relations, and client acquisition.
Requirements
- Fluent in English and Italian
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in luxury hotel communications or related professional area
Key Activities
- Ensure articulation of the hotel's desired image and position, maintaining consistent communication internally and externally
- Coordinate media interest and act as the hotel's representative with the media
- Oversee editorial direction, design, production, and distribution of all publications
- Maintain brand consistency across all print and electronic materials
- Develop and monitor short- and long-term plans and budgets for marketing, communications, and public relations
- Stay informed of industry developments and hotel-specific market trends
- Ensure the hotel's philosophy, mission, and vision are upheld throughout the organization
Additional Responsibilities
- Comply with company policies and model the company's culture, vision, mission, and core values
- Proactively manage the department, including budgeting, training, and staff motivation
- Maintain effective communication within the department and with other departments
- Participate in staff recruitment, performance appraisals, and succession planning
- Ensure guest satisfaction and foster effective relationships with guests
About Rosewood Rome
