Job Description :

Overview

The hotel Director of IT is responsible for ensuring compliance within the Information Technology and Audio Visual environments of the hotel(s). This includes, but is not limited to, Payment Card Industry (PCI) regulations, local data regulations, network security compliance, end-of-life management and planning, project management, budget planning, compliance with MOHG Product Standards and Guidelines, external and internal audit compliance, and routine task management.

The Director of IT serves as the main technical interface between hotel operations and the corporate functions of Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. Responsibilities are generally separate from the hotel’s IT support team and require availability on weekdays for escalation, colleague engagement, and critical corporate IT tasks.

Responsibilities Breakdown

1. Executive Summary: Budgeting, projects, risk management, task management, lifecycle management, cybersecurity & PCI compliance, hotel executive partnership, MOHG IT interface, strategic alignment, audit compliance.
2. General IT Management: Hotel operation policies, cost management, vendor relationships, MOHG standards enforcement, business strategy, innovation, and local solutions.
3. Audio Visual: Equipment lifecycle, vendor relationships, and contract management.
4. IT Team Management: Resource management, talent development, and team orientation.
5. Project Management: Major projects, five-year capital expenditure planning.
6. Cybersecurity & Compliance: Cybersecurity management, audit compliance, risk management, incident response, local regulation compliance, BCP planning and drills.
7. Technology Lifecycle & Network Management: Lifecycle management, network configuration, WiFi setup, configuration reviews.
