About the role:

**This role will not be onboarded until June 30th 2025**

The Director of Housekeeping manages the staff and oversees the activities of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring that our guest rooms, public areas, and employee areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness. The role also directs the efforts of the Laundry/Valet Department.

What you will do:
  • Be a part of the pre-opening team.
  • Manage the staff of the Housekeeping Department, including interviewing, training, scheduling, conducting performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions when needed.
  • Ensure communication and follow-up on any problems, guest requests, or special requirements.
  • Establish detailed cleaning and preventive maintenance programs to ensure the appearance and longevity of all furniture, fixtures, and equipment. Set and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  • Assign staff to activities for the day and monitor their performance to ensure standards are met and guest needs are supported.
  • Inspect all areas of responsibility daily.
  • Work directly with outside contracted companies to ensure quality and timeliness of work.
  • Resolve customer complaints, handle all guest interactions with hospitality and professionalism, and accommodate special requests whenever possible.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to all guest requests. Coordinate housekeeping needs for condominiums or co-op owners, interacting in person and by phone.
  • Monitor and control departmental expenses, including labor, uniforms, linen, guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and contract services, to meet financial goals.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, participate in periodic inventories, and recommend actions based on inventory results. Ensure proper maintenance of equipment.
  • Prepare annual budgets for labor and operating expenses and propose items for the Capital Plan.
  • Ensure the effective operation of the Laundry/Valet Department and assist as needed.
  • Prioritize safety, security, satisfaction, and well-being of guests and employees. Respond swiftly to emergencies or safety issues.
What you bring:
  • Pre-opening experience, project, and stakeholder management.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience and at least two years of housekeeping experience.
  • Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of division operations, Four Seasons standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to operate culinary production equipment and tools.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Flexible schedule, able to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays, day and evening shifts.
