Impact of this role

The role will also provide timely and accurate financial information and counsel to hotel senior management and hotel owners. She / he will ensure that the hotel operates within all related local and corporate policies and procedures and under the terms of the Management Agreement.

Key expectations of this role

• Responsible for assessing the financial performance of the Hotel as well as possible risks and investments.
• Overseeing all accounting and finance aspects of the hotel including month end procedures, accounts receivable, cost control, income audit, cashiering, accounts payable and general ledger in accordance with Rosewood’s policies & procedures.
• Continuously identifying and developing areas for business improvement and motivating key stakeholders to actively engage in the process through analysis & planning.
• Acting as a coach and mentor to the Finance team by providing guidance and support in maintaining high performance and engagement.
• Showing a sound understanding of the hotel operation paired with expert finance knowledge to provide valuable insights to support the leadership team in achieving maximum profitability in their areas of responsibility.
• Lead performance analysis, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Verify fixed assets are purchased according to the capital expenditure budget, amounts are properly recorded, and the fixed assets ledger is completed.

Required

• 3-5 years of professional experience at a similar position preferably in the Hospitality Industry.
• Proven experience managing various stakeholders, including external partners and owners.
• Solid experience managing & motivating large teams and driving change applying a transformational leadership.
• With strong financial analysis skills, with proven records managing complex budgets and forecasts.
• Excellent knowledge of the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI).
• Perfect knowledge of Hyperion Program and Smart View Tool for reporting, budgeting, forecast, etc.
• Excellent communications skills in both English & Italian.

Will be an advantage

• Experience with Payroll productivity management
• Well versed in SUN System (Accounting System), Birchstreet, Opera, Simphony.
