Job title: Director of Finance
Reports directly to: General Manager

Overall Job Purpose - Functions as the property’s strategic financial business leader. - The position champions, develops and implements property-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brand’s target customer and property employees. - The position provides the financial expertise to enable the successful implementation of the brand service strategy and hotel initiatives while maximizing the return on investment. - Creates and executes a business plan aligned with the property and brand’s strategy, focusing on financial activities and achieving desirable financial results.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience: Fluent in both Italian and English, strong understanding of finance and accounting, internationally experienced, affinity with a refined lifestyle.

Minimum Education and Experience: Minimum 4-year experience in a similar role in a comparable property with sizeable rooms and meeting spaces. Preferred: Proven ability to work on behalf of guests, collaborate with team members, evaluate business opportunities.

Principal Accountabilities include:

1. Strategic Planning and Decision Making: Develop profit improvement strategies, analyze forecasts, create budgets, monitor sales versus expenses, and develop new business plans.
2. Leading Finance Teams: Lead, influence, and develop the finance team, oversee audits, conduct performance appraisals, and communicate strategic goals.
3. Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate with owners and stakeholders, understand their needs, advise on financial issues, and manage cash flow and working capital.
4. Finance Goals Development: Ensure accurate profit and loss documentation, monitor taxes, develop performance goals, and improve departmental profits.
5. Managing Projects and Policies: Generate reports, reconcile accounts, ensure compliance with policies and standards.
6. Human Resources Activities: Cross-train team members, administer policies, participate in hiring, and conduct performance reviews.
