Fortrea invites an accomplished Director of Epidemiology to lead complex epidemiology and real-world evidence engagements for pharmaceutical and biotech clients in Italy. The role combines scientific leadership with client advisory, business development, and thought leadership to shape evidence-generation strategies and regulatory support.

You will mentor epidemiologists and cross-functional teams while advancing Fortrea's epidemiology practice through innovative methods and high-quality

Qualifications

• Doctoral-level degree in Epidemiology, Pharmacoepidemiology, Public Health, or related quantitative health sciences.
• 10+ years applying epidemiology in consulting, CRO, pharma or related environments.
• Minimum 6 years leading teams and managing complex projects.
• Proven success leading client engagements and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsabilités

• Provide senior scientific leadership across observational, non-interventional, and real-world evidence studies.
• Lead design and oversight of epidemiology and RWE research programs.
• Advise clients on evidence-generation strategies for clinical development, regulatory, and HTA requirements.
• Communicate complex findings to regulators, payers, and executives.
• Drive business development and thought leadership in Fortrea's epidemiology practice.
