A global leader in full-service CRO seeks a Director of Business Development to drive growth in Italy. The successful candidate will proactively identify opportunities, build strong client relationships, and refine business strategies. A strong background in CRO sales and exceptional communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities in Italy proactively.
  2. Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders through regular in-person engagement.
  3. Deeply understand clients’ challenges and structures to develop effective account strategies.
  4. Contribute to refining the company’s business development strategy by targeting markets, optimizing sales processes, and increasing conversion rates.
  5. Drive revenue growth by consistently exceeding sales targets aligned with company goals.
Main Requirements:
  1. Over 6 years of experience in sales and account management within full-service CRO sales (required).
  2. Well-connected with key decision-makers in the life sciences sector.
  3. Skilled at engaging and influencing senior executives and C-suite leaders.
  4. Proven success in negotiating and closing complex deals.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation and persuasion abilities.
  6. Adept at identifying client challenges and delivering swift, strategic solutions.
  7. Highly organized and deadline-oriented, capable of managing multiple sales stages simultaneously.
  8. Holds a BA, MBA, or equivalent relevant experience.
