Our client in food manufacturing is seeking a maintenance mechanic to join their team.

As a maintenance mechanic, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting the maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have experience with machinery maintenance and preventative maintenance with industrial manufacturing machinery, which will align successfully in the organization.

Compensation: Competitive pay starting at $28 - $32 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily maintenance activities, plant rounds, preventative maintenance, plant calls, and continual improvement assignments.
• Use troubleshooting skills and equipment knowledge to diagnose equipment failures.
• Disconnect and reconnect DC, AC, motion control, and Wye-Delta motors.
• Use a voltmeter to identify voltage, amperage, and resistance, utilizing electrical schematics.
• Identify chain, sprockets, gearbox types, and belts.
• Perform welding (stick or heliarc), basic copper soldering, and oxy/acetylene torch work for cutting and brazing.
• Understand refrigeration fundamentals, components, and their functions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic working with industrial equipment.
• Ability to work safely around electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and thermodynamic equipment.
• Fluent in written and verbal English.
• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally.
