JD Group in Italy (Lombardia, Milano) is seeking a Digital Trading Executive to partner with the Trading Manager to meet commercial targets for sales, GPV and EBIT across omnichannel platforms. You will collaborate with Head Office, Retail, Operations, Merchandising, Content, Copywriting and Marketing to deliver a seamless customer experience, building strong cross-country relations.

University degree valued; graduates welcome; strong analytical and communication skills in Italian and English

• Review website content, navigation and UX across web, mobile and app.
• Constantly review the navigation and structure of all channels to improve conversion rates.
• Review the seasons trading and seek opportunities to drive sales with new brands and ranges.

• Review weekly performance and agree actions for the week.

Role Overview

As a Digital Trading Executive, you will work with the Trading Manager to ensure commercial targets are met, for sales, GPV and EBIT, driving trading to agreed plans, implementing and applying good practice.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams across Europe, building strong relationships with Head Office, Retail, Operations, Merchandising, Content, Copywriting and Marketing to deliver a seamless omnichannel customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Review website content, customer journey and user experience across all devices (web, mobile, app), conducting regular walk-throughs to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Constantly review the navigation and structure of all channels looking for ways to improve visitor/buyer conversion rates.
• Review the seasons trading, looking for opportunities to drive sales, through new brands and ranges.
• Understand the Retail performance and help manager adjust plans accordingly.
• Be aware of what competitors are doing, looking for new trends and developments.
• Review previous week’s performance and propose and agree actions for the week.
• Review daily sales identifying areas of weakness, proposing, and taking action to increase sales and ensuring optimal stock availability at all times.
• Tracking, reporting and recommending solutions for slow sellers
• Testing & tracking promotional mechanics, suggesting markdown and promotional events in line with brand strategy, and reporting on successes and missed opportunities.
• Working with Merchandising to drive order fulfilment from Digital warehouses and the omnichannel methods.
• Working with digital channel teams and Marketing to ensure campaigns are consistent, successful, and support 3rd party brand campaign execution.
• Manage the key website metrics across each financial period to ensure all targets are met.
• Support and share learnings with wider trading & country teams.
• Manage the relationship with digital merchandising counterparts.

Skills & Experience Required

• University degree is considered an advantage, but applications from candidates with significant or international experience will also be considered.
• Ecommerce or Retail experience is a plus, but we want to consider Graduates with minimal or no experience as well.
• Demonstrate hunger for growth and passion for business, commercial analysis, problem solving and personal development, with good business acumen.
• Demonstrated organisational,planning, andanalytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• An understanding and interest in sports lifestyle & youth culture preferred.
• Ability to teamwork and build strong working relationships with different teams.
• High proficient with all relevant computer software MS Office pack, Google analytics or Google Looker, analytical reporting tools (such as PowerBI, and SimilarWeb..).
• Proficiency in Italian and English
