Job Description:

Digital System Architects design, implement, and maintain Hitachi Energy Grid e-Motion eMobility's digital and software systems throughout their lifecycle. This multidisciplinary role encompasses control software, cybersecurity, system design & performance, and quality engineering.

Roles and Responsibilities

Technical Management

1. Develop digital products, software architectures and system products to meet business and technical requirements.
2. Maintain and refine software architecture and related subcomponents.
3. Monitor software performance and identify issues in performance, security, and quality.
4. Oversee technical aspects of software systems, system products and ensure alignment with stakeholders.
5. Stay updated on digital technologies, trends, and best practices.
6. Collaborate across teams for software development, product development and integration.

Documentation

1. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for software systems.

Safety, Security and Availability

1. Design and enhance cybersecurity measures and frameworks.
2. Design functional safety concepts for system products consisting of Software & Hardware.
3. Design and enhance concepts for software measures and frameworks.
4. Implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure optimal software performance.

Performance Monitoring

1. Test application performance, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate with development teams on solutions.
2. Recommend tools, technologies, and processes to enhance software performance and efficiency.
3. Conduct regular system checks such as DFMEAs, performance KPI reviews, reliability analysis to ensure optimal performance & system effectiveness.
4. Optimize software configurations to maximize efficiency and reliability.

Required Competencies

1. A Master's degree (MS) or higher in an Engineering domain.
2. Demonstrated working experience over several years in designing systems and technical management.
3. Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
4. Exceptional communication skills necessary for collaboration with team members, internal and external stakeholders, including vendors. A highly organized individual in terms of communication, documentation, and problem-solving.
5. A strong team player who is adept at leading technical discussions.
6. Capable of working independently and managing multiple tasks and projects efficiently.
7. Proficient in programming languages and architecture best practices relevant to application and system software. Familiarity and practical experience with the product, software, and hardware development lifecycle.
