Your role and responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Digital Sales Manager to join our Energy Industries Sales team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for digital sales and a proven track record in the field. This position requires a combination of creativity and high listening capability to promote and sell innovative digital solutions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong results-oriented approach. In this role you will drive market and pre-sales initiatives for identified key accounts in Oil and Gas, Chemical and Refinery, Power, and Water verticals.The work model for the role is: #hybridYou will be mainly accountable for:• Develop and implement Energy Industries digital sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.• Identify and develop new potential digital markets, customers, and solutions.• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop and promote digital offerings• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers by providing ongoing support and tailored Digital solutions.• Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.• Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the businessYou will join a high performing team, where you will be able to thrive.

Qualifications for the role
  • Proven experience and solid networking in a digital sales role, preferably in the industrial or IT/OT sector.
  • Ability to articulate a vision for the customer’s digital journey based on knowledge of customers’ business and ABB offerings, providing clarity on ultimate destination and a stepwise plan for getting there.
  • Strong ability in building and selling digital solutions anticipating unexpressed customer needs. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or equivalent
  • You are at ease communicating in Italian and English
  • Familiarity with major CRM tools and data analysis software
  • Experience within software development lifecycle (design, architecture, development, and deployment) or IT technical sales is desirable. Knowledge of Cyber Security, Predictive Maintenance, Sustainability and Manufacturing Digital Applications are a plus.
