OLIVER Agency seeks a Digital Commerce Manager to lead e-commerce initiatives within the Personal Care sector in Italy. Role: Digital Commerce Manager (Italian speaking!)

About the role:

You'll be the strategic force behind the client's Personal Care e-commerce success in Italy. Working at the intersection of digital marketing, retail partnerships, and commerce innovation, you'll translate consumer insights into compelling online shopping experiences that drive conversion and loyalty. We're looking for someone who can navigate both retailer relationships and internal stakeholders, finding creative solutions that maximize visibility and sales. Success means consistently exceeding growth targets while establishing best-in-class digital shelf presence across all platforms.

What you will be doing:
  • Manage online retailer relationships with key local platforms (both digital brick-and-mortar and pure-play e.g. Amazon) that drive business growth
  • Create local commerce strategies aligned with broader brand objectives and shopper marketing initiatives
  • Spearhead promotional calendars and content planning that maximize seasonal opportunities
  • Collaborate with paid retail and social media teams to ensure integrated marketing approaches
  • Transform social commerce trends into actionable commerce strategies
  • Build and grow affiliate programs, with special focus on influencer partnerships
  • Shape product listings, imagery, and content to ensure optimal digital shelf presence
  • Lead the implementation of retail media assets across multiple platforms
  • Stay ahead of e-commerce innovations to identify new opportunities (Instagram shopping, TikTok shop, etc.)
  • Deliver comprehensive performance analysis and business reviews that inform strategic decisions
  • Ensure all digital touchpoints are shoppable and optimized for conversion
What you need to be great in this role:
  • 8+ years of experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, and commerce strategy development
  • 5+ years managing retail partnerships, including JBP/JVP negotiation and operational implementation
  • Proven success building relationships with Retail Media partners
  • Expertise in leveraging retail data and analytics to drive performance
  • Direct B2C/B2B e-commerce experience (minimum 2 years) or equivalent online agency background
  • A talent for developing customer-centric solutions and optimizing digital customer journeys
  • Experience with creative automation and generative AI solutions
  • Strong understanding of web analytics and conversion optimization techniques
  • Technical familiarity with e-commerce systems and digital marketing tools
  • The ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions and stakeholder groups
  • Fluent in Italian and English (spoken and written - you will work with an international team)
