VML Health in Milan is seeking a Digital Art Director for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract focused on web design. You’ll shape engaging digital platforms for healthcare clients, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate has a design-led portfolio, strong skills in Figma/Adobe XD and the Adobe Creative Suite, and a solid understanding of UI/UX principles. Hybrid work is offered with a global agency network.

The Role: VML Health is seeking a Digital Art Director (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract) with a specific focus on Web Design to join our creative team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to apply their design skills to meaningful healthcare projects, shaping engaging and user-friendly digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the conceptualization and execution of visually compelling and user-friendly web designs for websites, landing pages, digital tools, and interactive experiences within the healthcare sector.
• Translate wireframes and user flows into intuitive and aesthetically pleasing user interfaces (UI).
• Contribute to the development of design systems, style guides, and UI kits to ensure consistency across digital properties.
• Support the creation of prototypes and mockups for user testing and client presentations.

Web Design & UI/UX:

• Assist in the conceptualization and execution of visually compelling and user-friendly web designs for websites, landing pages, digital tools, and interactive experiences within the healthcare sector.
• Translate wireframes and user flows into intuitive and aesthetically pleasing user interfaces (UI).
• Contribute to the development of design systems, style guides, and UI kits to ensure consistency across digital properties.
• Support the creation of prototypes and mockups for user testing and client presentations.

Visual Concept Development:

• Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm and develop innovative visual concepts that align with client briefs and brand guidelines.
• Assist in creating mood boards, storyboards, and visual presentations to communicate design ideas effectively.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, including copywriters, strategists, UX designers, Account and Medical Writers.
• Present design concepts internally and, at times, to clients, articulating design choices and rationale.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest web design trends, technologies, and best practices.

What We’re Looking For:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Art Direction, Visual Communication, or a related field.
• Proficient in industry-standard design software (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD ).
• Strong command of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Design Principles: Solid understanding of fundamental design principles (typography, color theory, layout, hierarchy) applied to web.
• UI/UX Awareness: Familiarity with user-centered design principles and basic UX concepts.
• Aptitude for conceptual and creative thinking
• Portfolio: A compelling portfolio showcasing your web design capabilities, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving.

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Problem-solving mindset and a positive attitude.
• Fluent in Italian and English (both written and spoken).

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Experience or strong interest in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience with animation tools (e.g., After Effects) for web interactions.

The Gross Annual Pay range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. This reflects part of our broader group’s compensation framework across diverse agencies and disciplines. For this specific role our offer will be determined based on our internal benchmark, reflecting the specific market conditions for our discipline. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.

The employment contract will be governed by CCNL Aziende del Terziario distribuzione e Servizi.
