Founded in 1985, Dolce & Gabbana is an international leader in the fashion and luxury sector. The founders, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, have always been the creative source behind all the brand’s activities, as well as the driving force behind its development strategies.

An expression of Italian excellence, the Group designs, produces, and distributes clothing, accessories, fragrances and cosmetics, watches and jewelry. It is also active in lifestyle collaborations, home furnishings, and exclusive Haute Couture creations.

Dolce & Gabbana is seeking a Junior Retail Architect to join the Go to Market team within the Beauty Division, supporting retail architecture and merchandising activities primarily across Travel Retail, as well as Fashion Boutiques featuring Beauty. The ideal candidate will bring at least 3 years of experience in retail architecture, interior architecture, spatial design, or a related field, preferably within the luxury, fashion, or beauty industry.

The role will focus on the adaptation and implementation of global retail concepts and guidelines developed by the Global Retail Experience team, translating them into channel-specific layouts and execution solutions across international markets. With Travel Retail as the main priority, the position will ensure that retail executions meet local technical and operational requirements while preserving the global design intent and Dolce & Gabbana Beauty brand standards.

The position combines technical design, 3D visualization, guideline adaptation, planograms, project coordination, and regional implementation, working closely with the Global Retail Experience team, internal stakeholders, markets, agencies, and suppliers throughout the adaptation and execution process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adapt global retail concepts, design guidelines, and Visual Merchandising standards developed by the Global Retail Experience team into channel-specific retail layouts, renderings, graphic applications, and technical solutions, primarily for Travel Retail.
  • Prepare and adapt technical layouts, drawings, renderings, visual simulations, mock-ups, and prototypes, ensuring consistency with approved global concepts and established guidelines.
  • Collect and consolidate regional and operational inputs, including measurements, technical specifications, site constraints, retailer requirements, and market needs, and prepare summary presentations and documentation to support adaptations.
  • Produce adapted retail layouts using AutoCAD, 3D modelling software, and rendering tools, and prepare IWD planograms to support product launches and assortment updates.
  • Support the adaptation, formatting, updating, and deployment of channel-specific Visual Merchandising guidelines, Beauty setup guidelines for Fashion Boutiques, and Marketing toolkits, based on approved global assets and standards, ensuring that documentation and repositories remain up to date.
  • Prepare validation materials, coordinate feedback and approval follow-up with relevant teams, collect execution photos and market feedback, and monitor implementation quality and compliance with global guidelines.
  • Monitor permanent merchandising implementation across Travel Retail regions and support distribution expansion through the adaptation and rollout of approved retail formats.
  • Support Beauty merchandising within Fashion Boutiques through layout adaptations, renderings, and planogram simulations, in line with global guidelines and boutique requirements.
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities with agencies and suppliers, including briefing follow-up, deliverable management, file sharing, and project communication.
  • Maintain project trackers, timelines, priorities, and roadmaps, supporting the timely delivery of retail architecture adaptations and merchandising implementations.
  • Collect project evidence and market inputs, prepare implementation reports, and maintain dashboards to support project monitoring and execution quality.
  • Support stakeholder coordination through meeting organization, preparation of minutes, action tracking, and follow-up with relevant internal and external teams.
Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of experience in retail architecture, interior architecture, spatial design, visual merchandising design, or related roles, ideally within the luxury, fashion, beauty, or premium retail industry.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Retail Design, Spatial Design, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of retail environments, spatial planning, Visual Merchandising, and brand consistency.
  • Proficiency in CAD, 3D modelling, rendering, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Knowledge of IWD software will be considered a plus.
  • Strong visual and technical skills, with the ability to translate established design concepts and guidelines into accurate layouts, visualizations, and practical execution solutions.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with international, cross-functional, and external teams.
Additional Requirements
  • Fluency in English; other languages are a plus.
  • Strong interest in luxury, fashion, beauty, retail, and brand environments.
  • Creativity, curiosity, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset when adapting global designs to channel and market requirements.
