  • Axpo is a Swiss-based utility with a leading position in energy markets across 30 countries in Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Africa. Through our solar division, we operate in the development, investment, construction, and operation of photovoltaic plants, as well as the supply of green electricity and advanced energy solutions for our customers.

    The division operates in France through Urbasolar, a top player and pioneer since 2016 in its domestic market, acting as a group platform providing all the expertise needed for PV projects worldwide.

    We also operate across Europe through several entities, including Axpo Solar Italia based in Rome.

  • Description
  • As a Development Project Manager, you will oversee projects in the development phase, working with Axpo partners or on pure greenfield projects, ensuring the achievement of objectives related to ready-to-build projects.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Conducting preliminary development studies and coordinating project teams and third-party service providers.
    • Finding and coordinating service providers during consultation and execution phases.
    • Preparing administrative files, submitting them to relevant authorities, leading the administrative process, providing clarifications, and obtaining necessary approvals.
    • Managing permitting phases, participating in public meetings and dialogues with authorities and grid operators, and ensuring timely issuance of permits.
    • Establishing development budgets for each project and monitoring them post-approval.
    • Ensuring project schedules and budgets are met until all authorizations are obtained.
    • Identifying new project purchase or partnership opportunities.
    • Participating in project assessments, negotiations of purchase transactions, and monitoring co-developers.
    • Negotiating contracts related to land, connection, SPA, and shareholder agreements, in cooperation with local partners, internal teams, and external providers.
    • Providing regular reports and updates on issues and proposed solutions.

    You will report to the Head of Project Development.

  • Profile
  • A Master’s or engineering degree plus 5 years’ experience in PV or wind development projects in Italy is required.

    You should have a good understanding of solar technical aspects and the Italian PV & electricity markets.

    We expect you to demonstrate:

    • Strong project management skills (methodology and rigor).
    • Excellent communication skills in Italian (primary language).
    • Fluent English; French is a plus.
    • Ability to persuade and convince.
    • Efficiency and good priority management.
