Università degli Studi di Perugia invites applications for a Research Fellow to advance gene-targeting and genome-editing strategies aimed at selectively modulating conventional type 1 dendritic cells (cDC1) in cancer immunotherapy.
The project will cover design of regulatory-region targeting systems, vector engineering, and optimization of AhR targeting in cDC1, with analyses by molecular methods, flow cytometry and gene expression to evaluate efficiency and specificity.

The project aims to develop gene-targeting and genome-editing strategies for the selective modulation of conventional type 1 dendritic cells (cDC1) in cancer immunotherapy. Activities will include the design of systems targeting regulatory regions, vector engineering, and optimization of selective AhR targeting in cDC1. Strategies will be characterized by molecular, flow-cytometric and gene-expression analyses to assess efficiency, selectivity, stability and potential off-target effects, and validated in primary dendritic cells and preclinical models to determine their impact on antitumor immune responses.
