On behalf of our client, a global pharmaceutical company, IQVIA is looking for a Developing Medical Expert to join an exciting working environment in a dynamic atmosphere within the therapeutic area of Ophthalmology.

Residence : Milan, Bologna, Roma, or Napoli, with availability to travel.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Contribute to the localization of the global medical and brand strategy.
  • Collaborate to drive medical strategy by translating the local medical plan into implementable engagement strategies with cross-functional teams, identifying synergies with Bayer and the medical community.
  • Co-create medical multichannel campaigns, including content development, multichannel strategy, and customer journey mapping.
  • Plan and manage medical budgets related to the specific product.
  • Lead and align evidence generation with medical and brand strategies.
  • Foster Medical Affairs relationships with National Team Leaders (TLs) and external stakeholder groups.
  • Generate insights on unmet medical needs and communicate them within autonomous cross-functional teams to develop tactics and strategies.
  • Identify overlaps and potential synergies between external stakeholders and Bayer.
  • Report external stakeholder engagement activities in Veeva Medical CRM.
  • Support clinical trial teams on interventional clinical trials, including feasibility and initiation visits.
  • Review and interpret analytics and field insights to optimize medical content and evidence generation plans.
  • Stay updated with the latest scientific research and attend relevant conferences and meetings.
  • Define strategic perspectives with a strong understanding of Bayer's go-to-market strategies and the healthcare landscape.
  • Handle Medical Information queries in line with procedures.
  • Review and approve therapeutic area/product-related materials and external communications.
  • Ensure activities comply with relevant guidelines, regulations, and legislation.
  • Provide scientific education and training to cross-functional partners.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Bayer-organized medical programs, gather competitive intelligence, and build networks.
  • Serve as the central contact for content-related discussions with global teams.
  • Maintain communication with global project leads to ensure alignment of local projects.
  • Responsible for product modular content strategy as CPH Medical Content Creator.
  • Lead projects, symposia, and meetings to engage TLs.
  • Support market access and regulatory presentations for new information on hospital formularies and reimbursement.
  • Lead cross-functional projects related to therapeutic area or product.
WHO YOU ARE:
  • Holding a scientific degree.
  • Preferably 3+ years of experience in medical/pharmaceutical roles such as Medical/Scientific Advisor or Medical Science Liaison.
  • Strong stakeholder management and networking skills.
  • Proven analytical and organizational skills.
  • Business acumen with decision-influencing ability.
  • Excellent presentation skills for internal and external audiences.
  • Proficiency in digital tools and informatics.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-based environment.
  • Willingness to travel across Italy.
  • Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
  • Residency in Milan, Bologna, Roma, or Napoli, with availability to travel.
TYPE OF CONTRACT:
  • Permanent staff leasing contract.
  • Company car included.
