Deal - Solutions That Make The Difference cerca un Design Engineer da inserire presso l'ufficio di Udine/Cargnacco. Il ruolo prevede sviluppo di soluzioni meccaniche affidabili ed efficienti per l Equipment Division, supporto a tendering e esecuzione progetto.

La posizione richiede una laurea magistrale in Ingegneria Meccanica e 2–3 anni di esperienza, competenza in analisi strutturale, CAD 2D/3D (AutoCAD) e buona conoscenza dell'inglese.

• Laurea magistrale in Ingegneria Meccanica.
• Almeno 2–3 anni di esperienza in design meccanico o ingegneria industriale.
• Buona conoscenza di analisi strutturale e principi di calcolo ingegneristico.
• Competenza in CAD 2D e 3D (es. AutoCAD).

About the Company

Deal is a world leader in the field of specialised equipment for bridge and viaduct construction and all associated engineering services. Deal equipment has been used in the construction of over 5.9 million sqm of decks all over the world with Deal’s parent company executing directly roughly 2.5 million sqm of these. Deal provides services that range from conceptual and detailed design of pre-fabrication and erection systems, to the design and supply of specialised equipment such as launching trusses, straddle carriers, gantry cranes, casting machines as well as other custom lifting, moving and casting devices.

About the Role

The Design Engineer contributes to the successful delivery of DEAL's projects by developing safe, reliable and efficient mechanical and industrial engineering solutions for the Equipment Division, ensuring compliance with technical, contractual, quality and project requirements. The role supports both tendering and project execution by producing engineering designs and technical documentation, working closely with project teams and other disciplines to deliver technically sound, practical and cost‑effective solutions aligned with project objectives, applicable standards and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

Engineering Design & Technical Development

• Develop engineering designs and technical solutions in accordance with project requirements, applicable standards and Company procedures.
• Prepare engineering calculations, design reports, drawings, specifications and other technical documentation required for tendering and project execution.
• Perform engineering analyses and technical verifications to ensure the safety, reliability and feasibility of proposed solutions.
• Support the selection and optimization of engineering solutions to achieve technical performance, cost efficiency and constructability objectives.
• Identify technical issues, design risks and non-conformities, proposing appropriate corrective actions and technical solutions.
• Contribute to the management of engineering changes by evaluating their technical impact and updating engineering documentation accordingly.

Project & Technical Coordination

• Review customer specifications, contractual documents and technical requirements to ensure compliant engineering solutions.
• Support tendering activities by providing technical inputs, preliminary designs and engineering evaluations for proposal development.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Project Management, Business Development, Procurement, Production and other internal functions to ensure the effective development of engineering deliverables.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure the integration and coordination of technical solutions across project activities.
• Support technical clarifications with customers, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors during tendering and project execution, when required.

Engineering Documentation & Document Management

• Ensure that engineering documentation is accurate, complete, consistent and issued in accordance with project schedules and quality requirements.
• Maintain engineering records, calculations and technical documentation within the Company's document management systems.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Company policies, the Code of Ethics, applicable laws and regulations, and Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) standards and requirements.

Professional Development

• Maintain and continuously develop the technical and professional competencies required for the role through active participation in training, learning and development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in mechanical and/or industrial engineering design, preferably in heavy equipment, steel structures or construction-related projects.
• Good knowledge of structural analysis and engineering calculation principles.
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (e.G. AutoCAD).
• Good knowledge of mechanical design, engineering drawings and applicable technical standards.
• Good English knowledge.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate technical solutions and identify design risks.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and effectively coordinate with internal functions, customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Proactive attitude, attention to detail and commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Position report to the Head of Engineering. Activities are mainly performed at our offices in Cargnacco (Udine), with occasional site missions.

Pay range and compensation package

Annual base salary from 30,000€ to 40,000€ based on experience and qualifications.
